🚀 We're thrilled to announce that Buffer now supports full scheduling for Instagram Stories. 🚀

We’re one of the first platforms to offer this game-changing feature, and as avid Instagram users ourselves, we know firsthand the growing impact of Instagram Stories.

With over 500 million people creating and watching stories on their mobile devices every day, it's no wonder that one in three people say they become more interested in brands and products after seeing stories featuring them.
Stories aren’t just loved by viewers, they’re loved by creators too.

Instagram rewards you for publishing Stories by showing your posts more often to your audience. That means using Stories makes your posts more visible and helps grow your audience.

Sounds like a win-win, right?

Here's a fun fact from our own @buffer account: In the past year, our 212 stories reached a whopping 63,000 people! Not bad for a quick format that only takes a few minutes to prepare.

And now, with Buffer's new scheduling feature, it's easier than ever to plan, prepare, and share your Instagram Stories.

What’s “Full Instagram Story Scheduling”?

Our new Instagram Stories scheduling feature lets you plan and schedule your stories in advance—without the need to manually publish when the time comes.

By having your stories ready to go, you can focus on creating engaging content that resonates with your audience without having to worry about manually posting each time.

Previously, all social media scheduling tools (including Buffer) couldn’t auto-publish Stories. You could prepare your Story in advance and set a reminder, but you’d have to actually hit publish yourself.

That all changes with full Instagram Story scheduling.

Here's how scheduling Instagram Stories with Buffer now works:

  1. Connect your Instagram account to Buffer (you'll need a business account for this).
  2. Create your Story content in Buffer's composer.
  3. Then schedule it to go live at your preferred time.

You can also schedule and edit Instagram Stories using our iOS and Android apps
